The commercial tugboat Janet Colle washes oil off the coastal buoy tender USCGC Harry Claiborne (WLM 561) after a mission in the Gulf of Mexico May 10, 2010. Claiborne is equipped with a vessel of opportunity skimming system that helps remove oil from the surface of the water. The U.S. Coast Guard worked with BP, area residents, and other federal agencies to contain the spread of oil caused by the destruction of the offshore drilling platform Deepwater Horizon.
