Gigantic game, lousy advertising

Last night we witnessed the “Reverse Super Bowl.” A normal Super Bowl features a lame game along with a few funny commercials. This time we got to see a real football game along with predominantly lame commercials.

On another note, I am splitsville with Sprint and their air card service. So my output may be minimal until I find a different service.

Yikes!!!

Here I am at Bush Intercontinental waiting on a flight home to Beaumont. It is a 3-hour layover for a distance I could have driven in a little over an hour. That is just the way things have gone today. I made it to Houston remarkably on time after Continental decided to be greedy bastards and hold the flight from D.C. up 30 minutes so some rich kids could fly to Buenos Aires via our flight to Houston. What a rotten flight. And neither my Broadband nor my wifi is working so I am at a 50-cent per minute pay Internet terminal. Life sucks. But there is always tomorrow to suck as well, right?

Leaving on a jet plane

Hopefully by this time tomorrow I will be in the air headed toward Texas. The weather here in the D.C. area doesn’t look so great tomorrow but at least the forecast has changed from freezing rain to just cold-ass rain with about a 100-percent probability. Tomorrow being Friday with a messy weather system headed east, there is no guarantee I will be anywhere by plane on time. I sure hope so though. I will cut this short with no biting political or other type commentary as I have stuff to do.

And another shoe drops

John Edwards dropped out today as well as Rudy. Now if we could get Romney, McCain, Clinton and Obama to all decide not to run we might just have a fighting chance as a country.

I saw a Rudy for president button for sale at one of the shops today in downtown D.C.’s Union Station today as well as buttons for Edwards. I figured they might be collectors’ items someday but then I saw an “I Like Ike,” button along with campaign buttons for Bill Bradley and Jack Kemp. They were all the same price — $9.99. I decided against it.

Perhaps next week we will have our Republican and Democratic nominees. Thanks a lot for once again for leaving me disenfranchised!

A little movement in Florida

Perhaps some movement will come out of the Florida primaries. John McCain has apparently won with Der Mitten Romney in 2nd place. Rudy, from what I am hearing on TV, will be dropping out and endorsing McCain. As for Billary, she won in the “Sunshine State” as she is such a ray of sunshine. No, I’m just kidding about her being a ray of sunshine. Even though she won in Florida it is considered a “beauty contest,” which I also find confounding.

I may have to vote for Willie Nelson once again for president.
